We value kids!

It is extremely important to us that each child that steps into our ministry is cared for with excellence. Whether through our nursery, or one of our many children's programs, we strive to captivate children's attention, care for their safety, and share with them the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Below you will find our weekly schedule, along with a description of our various children's ministries.

Sunday School

Sundays:
9:45 - Sunday School
10:45 - Kids4GOD (in conjunction with AM worship)
Wednesdays:
6:30 - Rock

Sunday School is an in-depth, small group, and age-appropriate Bible time. The younger children have hands-on activities that reinforce the Bible lessons and the older students have a more mature experience that encourages questions and discussion. (Sundays: 9:45-10:30 A.M.)

Kids4GOD

Calvary’s Kids4GOD is a warm, high energy worship experience, especially geared for kids. It centers around GOD and learning how He can make a difference in our lives. The teaching is based on Luke 2:52 where it says “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.” We have three core objectives for each child, as they look to Christ as their role model.
1. I need to make the right choice.
2. I can trust GOD no matter what.
3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
All Bible lessons teach CHRIST-like character that encourages kids to build their personal relationship with GOD and be transformed from within. There are crafts, games, skits and a memory verse that relate to each month’s theme. (Sundays around 11:10 -12:10 A.M. - Children are dismissed from the adult worship service.)

ROCK

ROCK: GOD wired kids differently than adults and at ROCK we capitalize on that GOD-given energy in both the songs and games. There is time to run and play, a time to sit and learn about GOD and a time to be artistically expressive through crafts. The activities revolve around an 8 week series from Empowering Kids. The current theme is Chemical Reactions. Special events include guest teachers, science experiments, Grace View Manor visits, Annual Picnic and an Annual Carnival. (Wednesdays: 6:30-7:30 P.M.)

Kid Explosion

Kid Explosion practices are twice a month, usually on Sunday evenings. At least two new songs are learned per month and these kids have the responsibility of leading worship for kid ministries throughout the week. They are also requested to share their songs with the adults in the main service for special events.

Skit Night

Skit Night: It’s family time! These are unique evenings that celebrate and reinforce the Calvary’s Kids4GOD monthly theme in a fun, energetic way that include songs, skits and adults.
